This Privacy Policy covers how we treat Personal Data that we gather when you access or use QastX services. 'Personal Data' means any information that identifies or relates to a particular individual and also includes information referred to as 'personally identifiable information' or 'personal information' under applicable data privacy laws, rules or regulations. This Privacy Policy does not cover the practices of companies we don't own or control or people we don't manage.
We collect the following types of personal information: Profile or Contact Data (first and last name, email, phone number), Payment Data (financial account information, payment card type, last 4 digits of payment card, billing address processed securely through Stripe), Device/IP Data (IP address, device ID, type of device/operating system/browser), Web Analytics (web page interactions, referring webpage/source, browsing history), Social Network Data (email, username, public video data from social media accounts), Geolocation Data (IP address-based location information, browser time zone), and Sensory Data (videos, photos or recordings you upload for AI processing).
QastX uses AI technology to analyze and transform your uploaded videos. When you upload content, our AI models process your videos to generate clips, subtitles, and other AI-enhanced content. We use your content solely to provide our AI video services and do not use your videos to train our AI models unless you explicitly opt-in. Your processed videos and generated content remain your intellectual property.
We share your information with: Service Providers (hosting, technology, analytics, customer support, and payment processing through Stripe Inc.), Advertising Partners (ad networks and marketing providers), Analytics Partners (companies that track web traffic and usage), and Business Partners (companies offering integrated marketing and creator tools). We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties for their marketing purposes.
We implement appropriate security measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. All payment processing is handled securely through Stripe. Your uploaded videos are stored securely and are automatically deleted after processing unless you choose to save them in your account. We use industry-standard encryption for data transmission and storage.
We use cookies and similar technologies to enable our servers to recognize your web browser, analyze trends, learn about our user base and operate and improve our services. This includes Essential Cookies (required for service functionality), Functional Cookies (to remember your preferences), Performance/Analytical Cookies (to understand how visitors use our services), and Retargeting/Advertising Cookies (to provide relevant advertising).
You have the right to access, update, or delete your personal information. You can manage your cookie preferences through your browser settings. QastX operates globally. Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for such transfers in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to provide our services and fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy. Account information is retained until you delete your account. Uploaded videos are processed and then deleted unless saved to your account. Payment information is handled by Stripe according to their retention policies.
QastX does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 years of age. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete such information immediately. Parents or guardians who believe their child has provided personal information to us should contact us immediately.
California residents have additional rights including: the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete personal information, the right to opt-out of the sale of personal information, and the right to non-discrimination for exercising these rights. In the event of a data breach that affects your personal information, we will notify affected users within 72 hours of becoming aware of the breach. The notification will include the nature of the breach, the types of information involved, steps being taken to address the breach, and recommendations for users to protect themselves.
We retain different types of data for varying periods: Account information is retained until account deletion, Video processing data is deleted within 30 days unless saved by user, Payment information is retained as required by financial regulations (typically 7 years), Analytics data is retained for up to 26 months, Marketing data is retained until consent is withdrawn.
